Pilae manages critical open-source applications on your own infrastructure or on its sovereign cloud sites in Switzerland and the EU. The service is built around an AI agent that handles operations. When a task is needed, like applying a security patch, the agent creates a detailed execution plan. It shows you the plan first. You approve it, and only then does the agent apply the changes, verify the outcome, and create an audit record. This gives you both automation and final say.

The platform's architecture is designed for security and centralized management.

• Control Plane: A single console manages all your machines and applications, no matter where they are hosted.
• Edge Network: Each machine joins a private mesh network. Applications are only accessible on private addresses and cannot be reached directly from the internet.
• Proxy: Web access is handled by a single, managed reverse proxy. Only port 443 is exposed.

You can deploy from a catalog of vetted open-source applications. This includes tools for identity management like Authentik and Zitadel, databases like Redis, workflow automation with Node-RED, and collaboration software such as Rocket.Chat and Seafile. Pilae handles their monitoring, backups, and scaling.
